I will be taking a new job, and with the increased transit time to work and getting settled in, it may effect temporarily sending these out. I pray God keeps us in His word in our absence and quickly reunites us to our journey. May God grant us wisdom to discern His message and blind us to our ignorance. Thank all of you and see you soon.
Extra Credit: I recently received an article that was submitted to my other site. I was appreciative of the thought and enjoyed the read. I will give you 2 links one to my site Gleanings of Grace where you may find a condensed version and to her site Semper Reformanda where the article is posted. I pray you enjoy it as much as I did.
Jhn 10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Jhn 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
Jhn 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
- Why did they want to stone Him?
Christ had caused a blind man to see, the deaf to hear, and the lame to walk. Which works of mercy and benevolence do you suppose they now wanted to stone Him for? It is my humble opinion it was for all of these works that they truly toke up stones against Him. For it was these might works that angered and discredited them the most. It was these miracles that bore the greatest witness to His deity and power. They were too marvelous and open to be denied or contradicted. They cried it was for blasphemy but they know and understand exactly what He was saying and it could not be refuted.
They hated Him without a cause. They hated Him because of His holiness and because of their sinfulness. Why did Cain hate Abel “because his own works were evil, and his brothers righteous” (I John 3:12). Why did the Jews hate Christ “but Me it hateth, because I testify of it that the works thereof are evil” (John 7:7).
