"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." (John 5:39)

Christ has made us Free

I so often struggle with these words. If this makes any since it must be divine intervention. So many times there appears to be so much there that I struggle to get out and convey. I will continue to pray that this only keeps me thirsting for more. I pray also for us all and for you that take these words and add to them, read them, or file them away that the Spirit guides you in your speech and stirs you to search for yourselves.

Jhn 5:10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
Jhn 5:11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
Jhn 5:12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
Jhn 5:13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

- How was it lawful for Jesus to heal on the Sabbath day?
- What can we take from the man’s reply?
- Any meaning behind this man not knowing Jesus by name at this time?

O’ how true this can be. We have dealt with, through grace the coming to God and the responsibility we have as one of His saints. What I once believed I must do and thought I had to strive to become on my own, thanks to that Spirit I may now live in peace and my fruits are a labor of love. But, let us never imply nor say that this path is without difficulty in the flesh. The one that Christ touches and surrenders completely to Him must expect trails, tribulations, and encounter much criticism. And sadly but solemnly true, it is the so-called religious world that will fight the truth with most ferocity. For the true gospel exposes their self-righteousness, hypocrisy, and contempt for the living God. Though they may not admit or even know their heart is harden toward Christ. For the God they create wrapped up in conditions, ceremonies, limitations, and law they worship with a zeal hiding themselves in the darkness. And for those, who are touched by Christ, made whole, and freed from the law, unless they conform to the religious creeds or observe the rules or conditions of the world then persecution and ostracism is almost guaranteed. For those who are called, according to His purpose be not weary on this journey and heed these words "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage" (Gal 5:1). Don’t allow yourself to be shackled by those who hide behind the religion of the flesh. It is far better to displease your fellow man than entangle yourself in the yoke of bondage and frustrate the Grace of God.
