"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." (John 5:39)

Our Time is Always

I guess even if your down, tired, and grumpy our time is alway ready. I am glad I write these in advance because I just wouldn't have the energy this morning. I pray God uses these words for His glory and strips away my foolishness and illuminates the light of His word.

Jhn 7:6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.
Jhn 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
Jhn 7:8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.
Jhn 7:9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.

- What time has not yet come for Jesus?
- What is it that the world hates and how does it manifest itself?

I have heard and been questioned in the past on mission work and the responsibilities of Christians to spread His word. For if redemption is by the will of God and not man what role do we have. Those who see the sovereignty of God and redemption by grace alone as a stumbling block or contradiction to the servitude and responsibilities of a disciple, God forbid. I pray I never use grace as an obstacle to the duties I have in Christ. But let us not consume ourselves with what we are doing, think He should do, or when He will act but instead simply obey. Let us follow His command and go up to the feast. For our time is always ready and anytime is suitable for us to do His calling. But He is the Lord that will redeem a people and condemn the wicked and His time is not yet come. We cannot place God on our timetable for His time is when He wills it and it is fore-ordained. So what role do we have? The ordained means to save His elect. We have absolutely nothing to do with redemption while at the same time if it pleases God for His glory something to do for another man’s salvation. As I said let us not worry though about conversion and condemnation but leave those things to Gods hands. Let us obey and go out and preach the gospel, search the scriptures, and make our own calling sure. Let us never cease being a witness to others by the fruits of our works and let us rest secure in His finished work. And pray for a new love to do His work always.

1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

1Cr 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
