Scriptures without the Sovereignty of God

As a true act in faith, I post and send out the next Word of the Day. With this we conclude chapter 7. I pray that even though I may never know, that it please God to touch these words and press them into a heart. That He sees it well to strip away my foolishness and illuminate His sovereignty on His words.

Jhn 7:44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
Jhn 7:45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him?
Jhn 7:46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
Jhn 7:47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived?
Jhn 7:48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him?
Jhn 7:49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
Jhn 7:50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,)
Jhn 7:51 Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?
Jhn 7:52 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
Jhn 7:53 And every man went unto his own house.
Jhn 8:1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.

- Are they correct what they say in verse 52?
- What may we take away from the men to their houses and Jesus to the Mount of Olives?

With a quick examination of these verses, without considering the sovereignty of God they do more to confuse than explain. Back in verse 30 they sought to take Him but no one could lay any hand upon Him. In verse 32 the Chief Priest sent officers to take Him. These were well-trained men, conditioned to follow orders no matter the consequences. Their task was to silence this man. I man who was not hard to find, a man who was not physically fighting back, but we see now them coming back empty handed. Their reason that they were amazed by His speech and they said to the Pharisees no one every spoke like Him. This being said to those in positions, being taught a minimum of seven languages and considered the best orators. Finally when everyone went home we see Jesus all alone in the Mount of Olives. This was not a mountain but rather a small hill. Nicodemus could have easily sent others to fetch Him here. It was the perfect strategic opportunity. He was all alone, easily could be located, and taken without issue. But no men were sent. None of this makes any since to logic outside of the sovereignty of God. Without sovereignty in the Bible the bible is a book of words without meaning. Without understanding revealed by the Spirit our knowledge is limited to the flesh. We are driven to write within the white spaces and add to make it fit our ignorance. Take sovereignty out of salvation and this is equally as fatal. Grace will never make since to the logic of man outside of the sovereignty of God. Do not write in the margins and add to His finished work. We cannot fit salvation within the flesh. Taken the sovereignty out of faith takes the sovereignty out of God. We are because He was and we do because He did.

(JHN 3:30) “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
