Flee from strangers

A short one today. I do as you see many times attack the religiosity of the world, not out of condemnation but sorrow. May you hear His voice and be given strength to flee from the strangers that are among us.

Extra credit: Keeping on topic, and resorting back to a dead theologian. Joseph Philpot in his letters wrote this on The religion which I want. May it be the religion we want as well.

Jhn 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know

How can a man that loves darkness now flee from it?

As many times as we will focus in these verses on that only His sheep hear His call and respond I do not wish to go by this verse and not highlight that those sheep will also not follow the voice of another. The sheep of Christ will not hear, follow, nor support those preachers, teachers and pastors who are strangers to His gospel. They do not approve of doctrines of works, ceremony and self-righteousness and will flee from them as disagreeable and dangerous. This is the reason the beggar who was healed heard Christ and rejected the counsel of the Pharisees. He was one of the Lord’s sheep and knew his shepherd. He also detected that these false teachers were not of God .

(I Cor 2:14-15) “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.”
