"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." (John 5:39)

Where Shall We Go

With this we shall complete chapter 6. I really enjoy this and I hope everyone realizes that I am not doing this to feed you but selfishly be feed myself. I love searching His scripture and this draws me closer to Him. This causes me to meditate on His word and pray about what He is saying. At the same time a desire is that God uses me as a witness and draws others to His word to search the blessings they have hidden. I pray that each of you are blessed and take away what ever God feeds you out of these.

Jhn 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Jhn 6:67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
Jhn 6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
Jhn 6:69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
Jhn 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
Jhn 6:71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

- Why did Christ challenge the remaining 12 in verse 67?
- How could Peter be so secure in His answer?
- Why was there ever a Judas as an apostle?

Like so often we find Peter as the spokesmen of the twelve. I pray also that here he speaks for you and me as well. For Christ may continue to ask will ye go also. I am thankful I have sanctuary in the Lords bosom. That He has quickened me, I believe, and He is my surety. Like Peter said, where else now can I go. Shall I turn to the law, the laws which condemns me. Shall I turn to the world’s religion, modern religion steeped in superstition and fill good messages but lost in dead works. Shall I turn to my wisdom, where I will find only foolishness. Shall I turn to my self righteousness, and find nothing but filthy rags. No, I pray by His grace that I look only to Him. I look only to His words, for they are His Spirit, and they are life (John 6:63). Oh how glorious that I need not turn, I need not go away, that I may rest assured; ‘I am saved because I believe, and I believe because I was redeemed’.
