Do We Know Him

With the holiday, anniversary, work, and other projects there will be only 1 word of the day this week. So I guess this is the Word of the Week. This may give some time to catch up who haven't read the previous ones yet. I struggled with these verses and I hope it pleases Him to reveal more to you than He did I. I pray God touches these words and makes us blind to the ignorance and opens our eyes to His revelations.

Jhn 7:25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
Jhn 7:26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
Jhn 7:27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
Jhn 7:28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
Jhn 7:29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.

- Who are the some from Jerusalem left questioning here?
- What or whom did they believe Jesus was?

Once again we see the hearts of man revealed. We continue to see the flesh in the light of Jesus. (vs 3-5) brethren, (vs 15) the Jews, and (vs 20) the people. And now we see the crowd trying to humanize the sovereignty of Christ. They only saw the man though. They felt they knew Him, they knew His father, and they knew His lands that He came from. They felt they knew the man. They felt they knew their God, they knew He reigned on high, they knew he would come and they for saw a powerful ruler, and they knew the unapproachable Lord that no mortal has ever seen. They felt they knew who their Christ would be. But they did not know that this was Jesus the Savior. They seen Him as merely a man. We see this today as well. Some see only the man and not the sovereign God, while others see God that did not become flesh and sin and paid a complete price. God was not part man and part God; He was as much man as He was God and no less God than He was Flesh.

(Jhn 12:44-45) Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
