We join togther again I search His word that we may have light. I must repeat what I have written below that it amazes me that I am not stired more with a striking warning such as we have in these verses "YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS". I pray we stop, meditate, and pray over them that God may reveal Himself and that we may believe.
Jhn 8:22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
Jhn 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Jhn 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Jhn 8:25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

- What is it to be of the world?
“ye shall die in your sins”. How unimpressed we have all become towards these words. How remarkable for sinners not to stop cold at this verse and tremble in fear of at the destiny of a graceless heart. How solemn and an awfully true that there are those that may be reading this right now that are unprepared to meet God. For those who will not believe that He is the eternal I AM (Exd 3:14) ye shall die in your sins. Not just to believe a person but an intimate knowledge of a Savior. For those who do not trust in Christ alone ye shall die in your sins. Not a hope but a peace that comes from a trust in a protector and mediator. For you who do not believe that your sins died completely, sadly you are correct and ye shall die in your sins. For God did not atone your sin. Simply put if God atoned all sin for all people this verse could not state that they shall die in their sins. For those left to their sins they shall bow before God with the works and flesh and are condemned by their sins. But there is hope for the true sinner. The sinner brought to the place to cry out for mercy. Brought to the place where they look to Him alone. Those that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, He paid the price, and they shall be saved (Acts 16:31). These shall come naked covered with the blood of righteousness of the Son who died for their transgressions.
"That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:15). “SINCE CHRIST DIED, ALL WHO BELIEVE ON HIM HAVE ETERNAL LIFE AND SHALL NOT PERISH UNDER THE WRATH OF GOD. Faith in Christ is the proof that he died for you and satisfied the justice of God for you. If you, knowing your sin and guilt before God, trust Christ as your only, all-sufficient Savior, you have been redeemed by him, you are born of God, you shall never perish, you have eternal life! Faith in Christ does not cause you to be born again; but it is the proof that you are born again. Faith does not merit eternal life, (Only the death of Christ could do that!); but it does prove that you have eternal life.” (Don Fortner) gleanings of grace
